It’s been a busy season in real estate lately, and I’m truly thankful for it.

We’ve had properties go under contract, closings happening, and several more in the works. It’s a good reminder that even in a changing market, things are still moving when priced and marketed right.

Right now, inventory is still low, which is creating opportunities for sellers. There are serious buyers out there actively looking, just waiting on the right property to come available.

But this also applies to buyers too.

With the market shifting and evolving, we’re starting to see more balance. That can create opportunities to negotiate, take your time a little more, and find the right home without feeling as rushed as before.

I just want to take a moment to pause and say THANK YOU!!

Thank you to Tri-County Electric and to all the electric cooperatives and utility crews who have been working around the clock during this ice storm. The conditions you’re facing are not easy, not comfortable, and certainly not safe, yet you show up anyway.

You’re out there in frigid temperatures, working on ice-covered lines, navigating downed trees, dangerous roads, and long hours, all while being away from your families. Many of you are missing time at home, missing rest, and pushing through exhaustion so that the rest of us can have something we often take for granted: electricity, heat, and basic comfort.

I think it’s important to remember that power restoration after an ice storm isn’t simple or quick. This kind of damage takes time. Lines must be repaired safely, step by step, so no one gets hurt. These crews aren’t just flipping a switch, they are rebuilding, repairing, and restoring entire systems under extremely dangerous conditions.

To every lineman, technician, dispatcher, tree crew, and support staff: your work matters. What you do allows families to stay warm, children to sleep safely, elderly neighbors to remain protected, and communities to function. These aren’t just “luxuries” they are necessities, and you’re the ones making them possible.

I also want to say thank you for the sacrifice. Being away from your loved ones during times like this is not easy. Choosing to serve the community instead of being home is something that deserves respect, not criticism.

We know this restoration isn’t finished yet. It may take several more days, maybe even a week, to fully repair everything from this storm. And that’s okay. We understand that safety comes first, your safety included.

Please know that many of us are deeply grateful, even if we don’t always say it loudly enough. We see you. We appreciate you. And we are thankful for you.

We continue to pray for your protection, for strength, for clear minds, and for safe completion of every job still ahead. May you return home safely at the end of each shift.
