It’s easy to get caught up in the latest mortgage interest rate drama.

Are they going to continue to decrease? Or is another rate hike in our future? 📈

But let’s be real here: interest rates are only one small piece of your monthly mortgage payment.

If you want to successfully buy a home, you need to focus more on the mortgage payment as a whole and way less on the interest rate!

Remember: your mortgage payment is comprised of:

- Principal payment
- Property taxes
- Insurance premiums
- HOA dues
- PMI
- Interest

The interest you pay is just one small part of it. While it’s good to get your interest rate as low as you can, it’s much more important to get a mortgage that you can afford and consistently pay. 🙂
