JCBRG was established in 1998 and is made up of local small business owners who are dedicated to offering only the best quality services to their own clients as well as other customers referred to them by group members. We strongly believe that the community is best served by professional services offered by it’s local residents. The group includes individuals representing a wide spectrum of indus

tries and disciplines. With the requirement of only one representative from any line of business, JCBRG group members strive to get to know one another’s business so that reliable, productive, quality referrals can be made and shared.

We have talked about "The Power of Habits" by Charles Duhigg, and the idea that attending a meeting such as JCBRG, irrespective of giving or receiving a referral, is a KEYSTONE HABIT. I wanted to share another story and idea from that book.

2 young fish are swimming and on older fish swims by with a pep in his swim. He says, "Hey fellas, how's the water?"
The 2 young fish say hello but swim on...after the older fish is out of earshot, one turns to the other and asks, "What the hell is water?"
William James who wrote "The Principles of Psychology" said "Water is the most apt analogy for how a habit works. It hollows out for itself a channel, which grows broader and deeper; and, after having ceased to flow, it resumes, when it flows again, the path traced by itself before."
Habits and your free well are your "water".
You now know how to redirect that path. You now have the power to swim.
