An investor friendly agent is a real estate professional who understands why real estate investors buy rental property and what they look for in a home.

Investors are interested in financial metrics (fair market rent, operating expenses, cash flow, return on investment, tax benefits of owning a specific rental property, etc.) The majority of real estate agents have no idea of how these metrics work, but an investor friendly real estate agent does.

• Calculate your potential return
• Have a strong vendor network

Things to look for for in an investor friendly real estate agent:
•Full-time agent (You wouldn’t go to a doctor who only works part time so why would you hire an agent that only spends a few hours each week on their business?)
•Excellent communication and prompt attention (Your agent should be on time, respond to you promptly, and give you the attention that you deserve.)
•Understands the financial metrics that are used by rental property owners.
