Interest rates are going down but the lack of living wages tied to the high inflation rate simply has the consumer questioning if they can afford a home without a second income earning partner. Cold feet will prevent many from owning a home within an hour of Nashville if buyers making under 80k a year with little savings or outside help are waiting for rates to go down. Many experts predict prices may reach an unattainable amount for the consumer making less than 80k a year due to them predicting up to a 10% price increase due to pint up demand especially if the interest rates go below 6%
