Roughly 80 percent of people don't use the same realtor the second time around. It's not usually because that agent did a bad job. It's because the relationship ends the moment the deal closes.

Trust gets built, the sale happens, and then the follow up stops. We believe the relationship shouldn't end at closing. We stay in touch, we check in, and we're still here years later when questions come up or it's time to move again.

Chris describes church real estate as helping people bridge the sacred and the strategic. Churches are deeply special buildings, often the most sacred place in someone's life, but they still need to serve their ministry and mission well.

He helps congregations think through both at once: honoring what the building means while making sure it still fits the mission it was built for.

A small-town church near here sat empty for years after its congregation closed. No plan was made, and the building was eventually torn down. A hundred years of history was lost with it.

Chris kept a brick from the demolition. It still sits on his desk, a reminder of why he cares about church real estate: helping congregations choose a building's future before that choice disappears.

When we walk through a home with a client, we want to point out the things we already know are important to them. They have shared that with us long before we ever step through the door.

That is the part people do not always see. By the time we are walking a property together, we are not guessing at what matters. We are listening for it and looking for it, because they already told us.

Angie says the best part of her job happens after closing. A family she helped find land in Mount Pleasant recently sent photos of the home they are building there. A young woman Angie helped buy her first home sent one too, a photo of pizza on the bare carpet her first night there.

Moments like these are why she loves this work.

Paula often sees congregations hold on to their building as long as they can. She understands why, but waiting too long can lead to real deterioration of the property.

She would rather get involved early. It protects the current congregation from watching their building decline, and it gives the next congregation the chance to inherit something beautiful.
