Keith and I spent all last week hiking in 2 of our TN State Parks (Henry Horton & Tims Ford) in celebration of my birthday. A few of these photos are from other trips. We are blessed in our state to have so much beauty to enjoy and to be served by the people that work in these parks.

Did you know that entry to our parks are FREE while other states charge an entry fee? I’m proud of my fiscally sound state that can afford to maintain our parks without charging entry fees. Employees at these parks work hard to maintain the parks and make them enjoyable. They keep them clean, clear the trails, offer educational programs for kids. Tims Ford has a calendar of events for spring breakers all this month!

In light of the frustrations of flying and the safety concerns for travel, please consider checking out our parks. If you go to the state parks website, you’ll find there are more than you realize and chances are, there is one within a short drive. Let’s appreciate what we have and get out there!!
