One of the benefits of working with Monarch is that all full-time employees are eligible to take a paid three-week sabbatical every five years with the company!
Recently, our Resident Relations Manager, Leigha Middendorf, had the opportunity to take her sabbatical, and she made the most of every minute. Here’s a little glimpse into how she spent her extra time:
“My three-week sabbatical couldn’t have come at a sweeter time! We had just moved into our new home after a long building journey, so there was lots of unpacking, decorating, dancing in the kitchen, and finally getting to enjoy the home we had dreamed about and worked so hard for.
I even tackled a fun passion project, giving a 1970s French Provincial bedroom set new life for my daughter’s very-much-requested princess room.
We also celebrated my oldest, Evelyn, turning SIX with one of her favorite things: a beach day! Between birthday fun, summer adventures, slow mornings, time outside with my girls, and a little time just for me, those three weeks were full of the simple, happy moments that make summer feel like summer.
After nine years with Monarch, getting three full weeks to truly unplug was such a gift. It gave me time to slow down, soak up this season with my family, make some really special memories, and come back feeling refreshed, grateful, and ready for what’s next.”
