Ga***rd's majestic elk herds are a year-round draw to the area. If visitors aren't trekking north of town to see the wild elk herds that live in the Pigeon River Country State Forest, then they’re heading into town to see the massive animals roaming in the city’s Elk View Park.

And that part just got easier, with a new live cam sharing an online stream of the elk park.

What a nice start start to the ski season. Over 100 skiers took advantage of light winds, mild temperatures and the first groom of two feet of snow on our east side trail system. Another 5 inches arrived last night! Our south trail, Cry Baby, was cleared yesterday and we can start working on the west side trails this week. Open 9 to 5.
