To all of my Real Estate Partners out there:
The current recordation tax rate in Frederick County, Maryland is $6.00 per $500 (rounded up to the nearest $1,000,) of consideration payable or of the principal amount of debt secured. The County Council has passed Bill No. 20-03 which increases the recordation tax rate to $7.00 per $500 effective October 1, 2020. On a $100,000 transaction that is a $200 increase!
