📬 Heads up, homeowners (especially NEW homeowners!)

Lately, clients I’ve helped buy a home have been sending me pictures of “official-looking” documents to see if they’re real. Most of the time — they’re scams.

These letters might claim to be about:
• Tax assessments 💰
• County deed recording 📄
• Fake “urgent” payments you supposedly owe
• Phone numbers or websites you “must” contact right away

⚠️ While new homeowners get targeted the most, current homeowners — especially the elderly — are at risk too.

👉 If you get something that feels suspicious:
✅ Don’t call the number.
✅ Don’t visit the website.
✅ Check with your local county office or ask a trusted source first.

Your home is one of your biggest investments — don’t let scammers take advantage. Stay cautious and protect yourself! 🏡✨
