1. John Baylor purchased the property along with other lots in 1784 for 100 thousand pounds of to***co.
2. All-wooden structures were on this property as late as 1805. In 1816, a new brick house was built and leased.
3. It was once Sullivan Shoe Shop, which operated at the same time as the shoe repair shop just around the corner at 1004 Caroline Street.

Fun Facts:
1. Doggett & Scott was a grocery business located at 205 William Street, which backs up to this building. They installed a connecting doorway between the two buildings that can still be found today! Many other businesses utilized this access door to move between the two buildings.

2. The second floor used to be a residential space, but it is now the kitchen of Wild Hare, located at 205 William Street.

3. This building was used as various grocery stores from its construction to around the 1950s. Since then it was a series of restaurants until the 2010s when retail moved in. The Dragon's Den moved into this building in 2021.
