Firefly has a blog now 🎃

We just launched the Firefly Hill Country blog, and the first post is the one you'll want for October: our 2026 guide to Halloween in Fredericksburg.

Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, and this town goes all in. A few things from the guide:

🎃 Cut your own pumpkin off the vine at Jenschke Orchards, then take on the five-acre corn maze. Ten minutes from the resort.
🦇 Watch 3 million bats spiral out of Old Tunnel State Park at dusk. Halloween night is the last emergence of the season, and tickets have to be bought ahead.
🍷 W**e Road 290 in late October: harvest is in, the crowds thin out, and the Fredericksburg Food & W**e Festival runs Oct 22–25.
🍺 Oktoberfest on Marktplatz, Oct 2–4, kicks the whole season off.
👻 A 90-minute ghost walk through downtown that works for kids, plus trick-or-treating on Main Street on the 31st.
⛰️ Enchanted Rock, finally cool enough to hike, with a night sky worth staying up for.
