All my Howell friends. Please get out to vote this Saturday for Bob Tice for fire commissioner !! Let’s let him continue the great job he’s doing for us all !!
Fire Elections are this weekend. Please get out and support your fire districts and those who work so hard to keep our community safe. Here is some great info for District 2, my district. Others can post info for any district in the comments.
District 2 Supporters,
I wanted to take a moment to again introduce myself to those who do not know me and the reason why I became involved on the political end of the fire service as a commissioner. I have been a resident of Howell for over 30 years. I have coached youth sports in town and volunteered as a firefighter, EMT and was a member of OEM before I began my career as a paid firefighter in Howell. Three years ago, when I won my first term as commissioner, I set out to correct a long-standing issue with the emergency radio system we have in town. This one issue, and my desire to help solve this problem, is why I became a commissioner.
After hiring a radio professional to perform a study it was confirmed that we had a major deficiency in our ability to communicate in an emergency. I am happy to say that with the cooperation of the other 4 fire districts and the Town we are very close to having an upgrade that will benefit all first responders and the residents of Howell. As most of you are aware, the fire service here in Howell is made up primarily of volunteers and as such they deserve the best training and equipment that we as commissioners can provide to them. The communication system in Town needs to be a top priority for all our first responder’s if they are volunteers or in a paid position.
I ask for your support so that I can finish what I started 3 years ago and make sure our first responders have the best equipment to keep them safe while protecting the residents of Howell. As such, I am asking for your vote this Saturday, February 19th. Polling is from 2-9PM at the Adelphia Fire Station 993 Hwy 33 (across from The Cabin restaurant). As always be safe and thank you for your continued support.
Best regards,
Robert Tice
