People ask why Whidbey feels so much like home to me. The truth is, I come from a small coastal town where the forest meets the sea, where bonfires burn late, laughter carries down quiet roads, and community is built through showing up for each other. I grew up in places where nature raised you as much as people did, where you learned grit, loyalty, and how to make magic out of very little. Whidbey has that same soul.
