🌱🏠 13,000 homes at Regan Nursery?

The City-owned property at Fremont Boulevard and Decoto Road is about 9.5 acres. The City plans to redevelop it with new housing, including an affordable-housing component.

The 13,000-home number applies to Fremont’s citywide housing need through 2031. It does not mean 13,000 homes are being built at Regan Nursery.

Regan Nursery remains open, and there are no immediate changes. Many important details are still undecided, including the number of homes, building design, traffic plan, and what will happen to the nursery.

📅 The City’s next informational community meeting is Wednesday, September 23, from 5:30–7:00 PM at the Centerville Community Center.

Sushi that comes to you on a conveyor belt? Yes, please! 🍣

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in Cupertino is a fun spot where the experience is almost as entertaining as the food. Grab whatever catches your eye from the revolving belt, or use the tablet to order sushi, ramen, udon, desserts, and more.

One of the coolest parts is sliding your finished plates into the table. Reach 15 plates, and you get a chance to win a small prize!

It’s interactive, easy to share, and a great place to visit with friends or family.

🍷 Some dinners go far beyond the food, and Selby’s in Atherton was one of those evenings.

From the moment the front door was opened for us, the hospitality stood out. Bertane took amazing care of us, MJ spent time talking with us about the w**e, and we even toured the cellar downstairs.

The 2021 The Mascot—better known at our table as “Baby Harlan”—was an excellent choice. Then the chef came out to visit us, making the evening feel even more personal. 🧑‍🍳

Of course, the food delivered too. The chocolate cake immediately reminded me of the kind Grandma used to make—great texture, comforting, and simply delicious. 🍰

Selby’s is certainly a special-occasion restaurant, but it never felt stuffy. We felt genuinely taken care of from beginning to end.

✨ The biggest transformation was upstairs, where an open loft was enclosed to create more privacy and a much more useful layout. The rest of the project focused on smart updates that helped the home feel fresh without tearing everything apart.

🌿 Outside, we cleaned up the backyard and sprinklers while leaving room for the next owner to create a garden, outdoor dining area, fire pit, or whatever fits their lifestyle.

📅 Come see Nicole and me Saturday, August 22 or Sunday, August 23 from 1:00–4:00 PM.

One of the things I love about living in Northgate is how connected everything feels.

Just about half a mile down Decoto Road is Union City BART — although plenty of us Northgate folks still think of it as our Fremont BART station. 🚉😊

I’ve been using this station for decades. It’s been my go-to way to get into San Francisco without dealing with the drive, parking, or traffic.

It’s one of those neighborhood conveniences you don’t always think about until you realize just how close it is.

We made it through the dust. 😂🔨

The renovation is DONE at our upcoming Northgate Fremont home, which means I’m now walking around looking at walls, corners, switches and tiny details that probably nobody else would notice. Welcome to punch-list day. 😂

This is the point where a project finally stops looking like a construction site and starts looking like somebody’s future home.

And yes… I’m already playing with ideas for that backyard. 👀

Would you go:
🌿 Garden + greenery
🔥 Fire pit + hangout space
🍷 Outdoor dining
🛋️ Lounge setup
🐕 Keep it open for the dog

I have a few concepts coming because sometimes a blank canvas just needs a little imagination.

We are VERY close to bringing this Northgate Fremont home to market.

Next up: the pretty stuff. ✨

Does a home need a complete renovation before it goes on the market? Not always.

Sometimes the best approach is to identify the changes that will improve how the home looks, feels, and functions without remodeling everything.

That’s the plan for this upcoming Northgate Fremont home. One important improvement will turn the open, loft-style primary bedroom into a more private and functional retreat.

I’ll be sharing the project from the original condition through the final reveal. Follow along to see whether these focused updates deliver the transformation we’re looking for.
