My real estate career began in 1986 when I got my California Real Estate sales license. I wanted to follow in the footsteps of my grandparents who had both been real estate professionals. Four years later instead of renewing that license I pushed on to a brokers license. In the early years I supplemented my income by buying/fixing and reselling the homes I lived in. Shortly after obtaining my brok
ers license, I accepted a job as a staff appraiser for the IRS. My plan was to be there about 5 years to gain more industry knowledge. Not long after taking the job I got married. It wasn't long before we added two children to our family and I decided it was a great career for a mom. I retired from the IRS after 31 years of service as a senior review appraiser. During those years, I became known for doing the appraisals on the odd and unusual assets which kept me thinking and constantly learning, but my favorite assignments were for agricultural land. I was the west coast ag valuation specialist and served as a national agricultural industry expert. As a necessity of getting the job done, I developed strong research skills that include a knowledge of income tax as it relates to real property. During my career I continued to assist special clients with their real estate transactions. I also taught collegiate level real estate, appraisal and economics courses as well as first time buyer education courses for a local municipal buyers assistance program. After being licensed for 38 years, I am ready to put all my knowledge and experience to work to help you with your specialized real estate needs. I love the opportunity to be creative and make transactions a win win for all involved.
