This week felt short, with most buyers and sellers celebrating Labor Day weekend and summer coming to an end — and I’m not mad about it:

🌾 Took some real down time with family out at our ranch
🏘️ Knocked on a neighbor’s door to talk about a new listing coming soon — nothing beats getting the inside scoop straight from the block
🤝 Talked shop with 3 new referrals — still one of my favorite parts of this job, when people trust me with the people they care about
💛 Our nonprofit got a generous donation from a client this week. The McIntosh Foundation turns 6 today — we help at-risk youth transition into secure housing, and it’s a good reminder of why the wins in this business matter beyond the commission check
📚 Weekly sales meeting with our Broker/Owner — 23 years in and I still take notes. This job doesn’t let you coast

This one’s going down as one of the sweetest stories of my career. Without getting into the details, this transaction reminded me why building wealth, especially through homeownership, matters in the first place — not for the number itself, but for what it lets you do. Being able to generously show up for the people you love, is the real return on investment.

🏠 Walked an active listing with contractors chasing down a leak, a pest issue, and a cleaning situation that needed a very honest conversation
📊 Ran comps and pricing strategy for two new listings, including a deep dive on the builder and the master-planned community behind one of them
📣 Dropped welcome gifts at every house around a new open house — cardboard house boxes, a measuring tape, and a QR code that raised more leads than the open house itself
📞 Re-engaged a stack of quiet seller referrals with a 60-second “are you ready to sell” quiz (it’s working)

People see the sold sign. They don’t see the group chat with title, the TC, the inspector, and a very confused seller all going at once.

If your agent isn’t a little tired, they’re not doing it right. 💤
