For those of you voting tomorrow, just like to let you know the other perspective of prop 10.

Prop 10 allows cities and counties to limit rent increases, but vaguely suggests how much they can do so and how’d they do it.

These kinds of things cost money to regulate so chances are landlords or renters will pay for this bill in fees. Homeowners need to see value in renting their home, if the profit from rent is not enough then they will sell the home. Air B&B has already limited rentals as homeowners see more value in temporary rentals than long term rent.

Competition already limits how much homeowners can charge rent for. As a realtor, my suggestion is to vote no on prop 10.

We do have a rental shortage, but this is not the answer. In fact, could decrease amount of homes for rent.
