🚨 Hurricane Season Reminder for Bayway Homes Homeowners with Elevators 🚨

Hurricane season officially begins June 1st and runs through November 30th. If your home is equipped with an elevator, please take the following important steps to help protect your system before a storm:

⬆️ Call the elevator to the TOP FLOOR

Then complete one or both of the following:

🔌 Locate the breaker panel that controls the home and switch ALL breakers labeled “Elevator” to the OFF position.

🔌 Locate the elevator disconnects found on the front of the Elevator Controller and switch those to the OFF position.

⚠️ IMPORTANT:
After shutting off power, you may hear a beeping sound. This is coming from the battery backup system and will continue until the batteries are fully drained.

If you do NOT hear a beeping sound after turning off the elevator breaker, your battery backup system may no longer be functioning properly and should be inspected or replaced.

🌧️ After any storm event affecting your home, we strongly recommend having a qualified Residential Elevators Technician inspect and restart the elevator to ensure it is safe and undamaged.

💡 Additional Protection Option:
Residential Elevators offers an Automatic Float Switch that can automatically send and park your elevator on an upper floor if water begins filling the pit area — providing extra peace of mind during evacuations or severe weather.
