🔴 KW RED DAY 2026 🔴
I have been sitting on these pictures since Thursday and I cannot wait any longer. 🥹
My son Corbin and I spent our Red Day morning volunteering at Cornerstone Ranch in McKinney for their Thursday paint activity with the "Ranchers" — and I need you to know about this place.
Cornerstone Ranch is a faith-based home and day program on 42 beautiful acres just outside McKinney, built to empower adults with intellectual and physical disabilities to live the abundant life they were created for. From art and ceramics to Meals on Wheels deliveries and local outings, Ranchers discover their unique gifts and embrace purposeful joy-filled lives. They were named the 2024 Volunteer Group of the Year by Volunteer McKinney 🏆 — because THEY serve their community too. We went in thinking we were there to give. They filled our cups right back up. 🎨❤️
Corbin and I had such a good time we are already planning to go back — and our new KW Allen friend Dylan heard us talking about it afterward and said he wants to come next time. That right there is the ripple effect of one good day. 🌊✨
And I have to say — watching every single person in my KW Allen family show up and give their time on Red Day made me so proud to call them my people. Dick Licare, Steve Roseberry, Lauri White and Sharon Cummings lead this office with so much heart. I am grateful every day that God placed me here. Some doors open at exactly the right moment. 🙏

POV: It's January 3rd and you're staring at a living room full of Christmas decorations that need to be packed away. My absolute LEAST favorite part of the holidays. 😅

But here's the thing—while I'm tackling that this weekend, I noticed the roofers working their tails off at my neighbor's house this morning. And it got me thinking: January is THE month to get your home maintenance done before spring hits.

Here in North Texas, we had an insane warm December—Christmas Day hit 80°, literally the second warmest on record. Then the day after Christmas? 86 degrees! 🌡️ All that heat puts extra stress on your roof, HVAC system, and everything else.

G.O.A.T's Arena - let's keep it REAL! 🏈🍸

Went in with the BEST intentions... "I'm eating healthy today!" 😇

Ordered the salmon. It looked BEAUTIFUL on the plate (seriously, the presentation was gorgeous! 📸)

But then my colleague ordered truffle fries. 🍟And someone got bang bang shrimp. 🍤
And we all started SHARING...

So here's what ACTUALLY happened:
✅ "Tried" to eat my salmon (it was okay - looked great, little dry, needed more seasoning)
✅ Took most of the salmon home to my husband 😂
✅ Absolutely DEMOLISHED my share of those truffle fries
✅ Bang bang shrimp didn't stand a chance either
✅ "Healthy eating" officially GONE
Real talk: It's a sports bar. The salmon presentation is gorgeous but taste is just okay. BUT those APPETIZERS we shared? DANGEROUS. I'm convinced the truffle fries are addictive. 🤤
