Well… it’s probably time for a re-introduction. 👋

This page has been a little quiet, but behind the scenes I’ve been very much active in real estate for the past 5+ years helping people buy, sell, and navigate one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

If we haven’t met yet, I’m Susan — a local real estate agent who truly loves helping people find the place they get to call home. Over the years I’ve had the privilege of working with amazing friends and families in our community, and it’s been such a rewarding journey.

There are important changes to Central Appraisal District Procedures in Texas that you and your clients need to know about.

Beginning in 2024, a modification in the Texas Tax Code requires all Central Appraisal Districts to verify a property owner’s eligibility to continue to receive their homestead exemption. For most districts, this will consist of a review every five years, potentially necessitating some homeowners to reapply for their exemption. Should you receive notification from your Central Appraisal District, it’s crucial not to disregard it. Take proactive measures to confirm your eligibility and ensure ongoing access to the advantages provided by the homestead exemption.

Sometimes, some transactions are more sentimental than others.
I was privileged to watch my two pharmacy technicians grow as a young couple, throw them their baby shower, find them their first leased home, hold their baby over the last 22 months, and finally walk them through the home buying process!
