This is my great-grandmother and the house she raised her family in.

Her grandmother before her was born into slavery and lived to see freedom.

My great-grandmother started as a sharecropper, raising 13 children in this house while working land that belonged to someone else. But before she passed, she owned the very land she once worked. The deed was hers.

Today is Juneteenth. The day freedom finally reached the people it had been denied for far too long.

She began on land that wasn’t hers and fought until it was. And today, I support the very agents that help families do what she fought for, plant their roots and hold the deed in their hands.

Freedom was a seed planted by people who fought to see the harvest. Some of them lived long enough to taste it.

I am that harvest. We all are.

Happy Juneteenth. May we never forget the shoulders we stand on. 🙏

The trick to discipline isn't starving yourself of joy.

It's learning to delay a little comfort today so you can create a lot more freedom tomorrow.

Discipline is a gift you give your future self. It's the decision to make the call, have the conversation, keep the commitment, or stay focused on the goal even when the easier option is right in front of you.

We live in a world that wants instant gratification and often overlooks the power of sustained effort.

Don't underestimate what consistent effort can do when you give it enough time to work.

Your potential is probably much bigger than your current timeline.

The other week, I shared a message on working towards being 1% better every day and a few of you messaged me asking how to become a better agent. These are my top three:

Conversations are everything, whether you're focused on production, attraction, or both. Start with one conversation a day and build up to five or ten. Time block it on your calendar, track your conversations, take notes, and schedule your follow-ups. This business is a contact sport and the agents having the most conversations are the ones creating the most opportunities.

Become the expert in your market. Study what sold, what sat, and why. When someone asks about their neighborhood, you should be able to answer with confidence. Knowledge builds credibility, and credibility wins business.

Your closings should not be the end of the story. Share the journey you helped your clients through, stay top of mind, and make intentional connections in the neighborhoods and communities you serve. One successful transaction can absolutely create multiple transactions when you leverage it the right way.

The bottom line? Master the basics while everyone else is looking for shortcuts.

One of the biggest regrets I hear from agents? "I wish I had made this decision earlier."

Indecision has a way of disguising itself as wisdom.

We tell ourselves we're gathering information, being strategic, and waiting for the right time.

But often we're just delaying a decision we already know we need to make. Most people think of the cost of waiting in terms of money, and that's certainly a visible cost... but every month spent in the wrong environment is also a month away from systems that actually work and a month away from making momentum.

The greatest risk usually isn't making the wrong move... it's making no move at all.

Every organization eventually mirrors its leader.

The agents around you are watching how you show up, how you handle challenges, and how seriously you take your own development. That becomes the standard whether you intend it to or not.

Before you ask how to grow your organization, ask how you are growing. The reads you're putting in, the conversations you're having, the skills you're building... all of that sets the ceiling for the people around you.

Want a bigger organization? Become a bigger leader first.

One of the most underrated habits in this business is keeping score of your own effort.

Not just closed deals or signed agents... the conversations started, the follow-ups made, the relationships being built over time.

Every conversation you document is a data point. Every follow-up you log is proof that you're treating this like a business and not a hobby.

The agents you're aspiring to be like? They've nailed consistency and their systems.

Start tracking the effort, and the results will follow.
