This Memorial Day, I’m pausing to honor the 22 Marines we lost from my unit- 1st Battalion, 24th Marines, including my two brothers from our Heavy Guns platoon, Shock and Burgess.

May we be grateful for every seat at every table and hold space in our hearts for those who are missing someone from theirs.

To the families, loved ones, and every Marine who served & sacrificed, you are not forgotten.

Everybody has a game plan until the conversation changes.

It is easy to feel confident when the conversation is predictable and everything is unfolding the way you expected it to. The real test is what happens when the questions become difficult, the conversation goes off script, or you are forced to think and respond in real time under pressure.

That is where discipline becomes more valuable than confidence. Discipline expands your comfort zone by preparing you for moments that are uncomfortable, unexpected, and uncertain. It allows you to stay composed, communicate clearly, and continue leading the conversation instead of reacting emotionally to it.

Over the next month, dedicate one hour each week to practicing objection handling, refining your communication, and learning how to guide conversations with more clarity and confidence. Most agents wait until the pressure is on to figure it out. The best agents prepare before the moment ever arrives.
