The Lord called one of his beautiful saints home this past weekend. Our Newman family matriarch, Deanie Newman, went home to be with her Savior. While we are sad and will miss her presence here on earth, we are comforted to know that she is renewed in Heaven and we will be reunited again.

Funeral services will be tomorrow at First Baptist Frisco. A visitation will be at 10am, where Dr. Pepper and peanut butter crackers (her favorite) will be served. The funeral will follow at 11am.

A scholarship has been set up for Frisco ISD students in honor of Deanie and Jackie Newman. If you would like to donate, please go to www.FriscoEducationFoundation.org and mention its in memory of Deanie and Jackie Newman.

Palm Sunday is a time for us to prepare our hearts for the agony of His passion and the joy of His resurrection. So this week let’s cover the road to the cross with our hearts, our minds, and our spirits as we reflect on the final week of Jesus’ life and anticipate His resurrection!

In the Beginning....
On this day in 2008, this picture was taken as Newman Village was starting to take shape. Plowing and planting in hopes that something great would take root. Today the harvest of fruit is plentiful and God’s hand has guided it all.

A few scriptures we have clung to through the years:

“The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land.“ -Deuteronomy 28:8

“He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows.” -Isaiah 30:23

Today we celebrated the life of our dear family member, J.R. Wade.
John Randell Wade “Randy” was a good ole Frisco boy that loved his Lord, his family, his town, Frisco football and the Cowboys, depending on the Sunday. His big laugh will be greatly missed but his character will go on through his precious family.
