US Luxury Home Sales Vary Widely
Luxury home sales across the US continue to showcase just how varied—and remarkable—the market can be. Recent data from a leading listings platform highlights top public transactions ranging from $3.7M to an impressive $130M, offering a glimpse into the unique dynamics of each major metro. The highest sale hit $130M, with several others following at $47M, $40.2M, $40M, $21.2M, $19M, $18M, and $17.5M. In some of these standout markets, even the fifth-most expensive home sold for over $10M, underscoring the depth and diversity of luxury pricing. One city in particular saw its top five sales clustered tightly between $24M and $40M. This snapshot focuses on publicly listed properties and may not include private or non-disclosed deals, where list prices are often the only available figures. As someone who helps clients navigate the Dallas–Fort Worth luxury real estate market, I’m always watching these trends to better understand how local opportunities compare—whether you’re buying, selling, or simply curious about what defines luxury in your neighborhood.

Best Real Estate Markets 2026: Texas and Sun Belt Lead WalletHub Ranking
It's exciting to see Texas and our Sun Belt neighbors leading the way in WalletHub's 2026 ranking of the best real estate markets. Strong home-price growth, active new construction, an abundance of permits, overall affordability, and robust job opportunities are keeping our local markets vibrant—while many coastal cities are struggling with affordability and housing shortages. As someone who works daily with buyers and sellers across communities like Frisco, The Colony, and Garland, I’ve seen firsthand how these trends are shaping real opportunities in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. If you’re curious about what this means for your next move in our region, I’m always happy to share local insights.

California, Texas and Florida Lead $279 Billion U.S. Remodeling Market in 2026
It’s remarkable to see how California, Texas, and Florida now account for over 20% of all U.S. remodeling activity—California alone at $22.2 billion. As a REALTOR® in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, I see firsthand how Texas homeowners are investing in their properties, with remodeling spending rising 10% from 2023 to 2025. Despite the challenges of higher costs, renewed energy is pouring into our neighborhoods, thanks in large part to aging homes and increased homeowner equity. In communities like Frisco, Farmers Branch, and Carrollton, these trends are shaping the way we think about home value and long-term investment.

Texas homebuyers more likely to use private mortgage insurance than any other state
As someone who works with so many buyers across the Dallas–Fort Worth area, I see firsthand how private mortgage insurance (PMI) can open doors for Texas families. In 2025, more than 64,000 households in our state used PMI—the highest number nationwide. With PMI, buyers saved an average of $51,645 at closing and, for 58% who were first-timers, it meant not having to wait over 15 more years to save up a traditional down payment. Helping clients throughout Frisco, Garland, and surrounding communities navigate these options is a key part of what I do as a REALTOR®. It’s always rewarding to see how the right financing tools can make homeownership a reality for so many Texans.

USA: Why ‘Price Stability’ Is a Myth
The idea of true 'price stability' is more myth than reality—especially when you look at how prices shift across different sectors in the US. When technology becomes more affordable and supercomputers fit in our pockets, we often see other, more finite luxuries like hotel rooms, sports tickets, or college tuition rise in cost. All of this is shaped by how people choose to spend and by complex global supply chains, not just the policies of a central bank. As someone who helps clients navigate the Dallas–Fort Worth real estate market, I see firsthand how these shifting price patterns play out in local housing: while some goods become cheaper, limited resources like prime homes in Frisco or Carrollton can see rising demand and prices. Ultimately, changing prices aren’t just a sign of trouble—they often reflect growth and progress in our communities.

Texas Homebuyers to Benefit from Lower Prices, Says Analyst
There’s been a noticeable shift in buyer activity across Texas, with interest now at its lowest point since 2013. As someone who works every day with buyers and sellers in communities like Frisco, Garland, and The Colony, I’m seeing firsthand how the current combination of high mortgage rates, challenges in commercial real estate, and significant new construction has led to more homes on the market than there are buyers. According to analysts, this surplus could lead to meaningful price drops across Texas within the next 2 to 5 years. Staying informed about these trends is crucial for anyone considering their next move in our local markets.

Texas Housing Shows Signs of Recovery
I'm seeing some encouraging signs across the Texas housing market lately, especially here in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. While Texas was one of the first states to experience a housing slowdown, inventory is beginning to tighten again—and that’s creating a healthier balance between buyers and sellers. The number of available homes has been dropping, which supports the idea that conditions are steadily improving. I’ve also noticed that homebuilders are facing growing backlogs, indicating that demand is picking up after a period of uncertainty. Pair that with recent gains in regional job growth, and it’s clear that our market is on the rebound. As we watch for how policymakers respond to these broader trends, it’s important for buyers and sellers to stay informed about how these shifts might impact their plans. As someone who works closely with the communities in Frisco, Farmers Branch, Carrollton, Garland, and The Colony, I’m always keeping an eye on these developments to help guide clients through the evolving landscape.
