It’s my birthday month! So I figured it was time to show my face on here and properly introduce myself! I’m Lara, the creative force behind Staged Upstate!

I’ve had a lot of “jobs” over the years, but staging and home design is my passion. In 2024, I opened Staged Upstate to help homeowners and realtors navigate the changing real estate market after the COVID boom. Staging is a way to set your home apart from every other listing on the market and statistically, staged homes garner higher offers and sell more quickly than unstaged homes. This year, we’ve expanded to include home styling and design, short term and midterm rental furnishing and design, and have big plans to add a final component sometime late this year or early 2027!

In my “spare time”, we’ve been renovating our house over the last 2 years. We tackled about 90% of the work ourselves and pushed my creative limits, which has been so fulfilling! You can see that progress on IG Lara and Brandi!

I also proudly wear the title of Mom to 2 adult human children and 6 four-legged ones!

Color, contrast and pattern totally changed the look and feel of this home. What started as a blank slate with neutral floors, white walls (painted in my favorite shade!) and white kitchen cabinets turned into a peaceful oasis for those needing a home away from home.

This midterm rental in Seneca/Clemson will be listed soon for those needing an extended stay! And trust me - you can’t be the location!
