A very merry December to all! Demolition progress continues inside the Cordell Hotel, with each phase of work moving us closer to a stronger, more vibrant downtown Gainesboro.

We're excited to show Cordell Hotel down to the studs and we’re getting a clear view of the craftsmanship that’s held this place together for generations. Strengthening these bones is the foundation for everything that comes next — new uses, new businesses, and new opportunities for the community.

Big news from downtown Gainesboro: The Board Room is officially crushing it.

Wasioto Restoration Company couldn’t be more excited to celebrate the success of our friends and neighbors at The Board Room, now officially open on the square in Gainesboro.

Our first dinner there Saturday night was spectacular—and trust us, that’s not a word we use lightly. We can confirm: the food is every bit as good as the buzz!

To mark the moment, we’re sharing the inaugural newspaper-style menu and cocktail list so you can see exactly what all the excitement is about.

Whether you're local, passing through, or already planning your next trip to Gainesboro, The Board Room is a must-try.

✨ A new chapter on the square in Gainesboro! ✨

We’re thrilled to welcome The Board Room — Gainesboro’s newest restaurant, located on the square just steps from our Cordell Hotel.

Owners Cassie and Peter D Kessler Jr., along with their team, have brought new energy to a landmark location (formerly the Bull & Thistle). Their debut last night was a full house — and the reviews are glowing. Guests are praising the steak, sides, and desserts as “fantastic” and calling the opening “a big win for Gainesboro and Jackson County.”

This is more than a restaurant launch; it’s momentum for our square, our community, and our visitors. If you haven’t yet, make plans to visit The Board Room and taste what everyone’s talking about!

We’re thrilled to share our first video on the new Wasioto page! 🎉

Our first project is the transformation of the historic Cordell Hotel in Gainesboro, TN. Originally built in 1928 as the Shamrock Hotel, this building was a cornerstone of the community. Now, we’re honored to renew it with care, respect, and a vision for its future.
