Today’s adventure: Squishy Hunting 2026. 🎯🛍️

My kids had their hearts set on finding specific squishies, so naturally I did what any Realtor mom would do… I mapped out a strategic route to FIVE Below after FIVE Below after Target like I was planning a buyer tour. 😂

Just like showing homes, there was strategy involved:
✔️ Efficient route planning
✔️ Managing expectations
✔️ Staying patient when the perfect one wasn’t at the first stop

Did we strike out at a few locations? Absolutely.
Did anyone melt down? Not Surprisingly, yes but…
Did we have fun together? Yes.
Did we stick to buying only the minimum? Also yes… which may be my greatest negotiation win of the day. 😅

Real estate and squishy hunting have more in common than you’d think: sometimes you visit several places before finding “the one,” and keeping a good attitude makes the journey a lot more fun.

Now excuse me while I recover from my second career as a professional squishy locator. 🕵️‍♀️🏡

As a Realtor, I’m probably not supposed to have a favorite closing… but this one will always hold a special place in my heart.

Today, my sister officially got the keys to her dream home, and I had the privilege of helping her through every step of the journey. What made it even more meaningful was the incredible team that came together to make it happen.

A huge thank you to Shane Gauthier, whose thorough inspection gave us confidence and peace of mind throughout the process. To Brittany Hayes Davis, our lender extraordinaire, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything moving smoothly. To Ryan Reid and Chelsea Hunt, who made the closing process seamless and stress-free. And to Luke and seller Kim, who were truly outstanding to work with from beginning to end. Their professionalism, kindness, and teamwork made this transaction something special.

And to my teammates Christina Brooks and Joey Lynn Abercrombie who helped assist!

Real estate can sometimes be complicated, stressful, and emotional. This closing was emotional to, but for all the right reasons. Watching my sister walk into the home she’s dreamed about was a moment I’ll never forget.

I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make today possible. This wasn’t just a transaction, it was a reminder of how amazing people can come together to create something truly special.
