My brain and my body are always in fast mode. There are times where circumstances make me slow down. This is one of them. I was on my way to an inspection that is 25 minutes away. I get behind this guy who is running 15 miles under the speed limit during morning rush hour. I told myself this is a test. How will I respond? Am I going to get anxious and say bad words ( which is my go to) or take the opportunity to pray. I chose the latter. When I was 10 minutes from my scheduled arrival time, I called the inspector to tell him I would be 15 minutes late. He said that was OK because he was running late too.
I thought what a waste of time and emotion it would've been to lose my temper. How God provided an opportunity for me to focus on Him. I wish that I were more consistent with this but at least I'm working on it.
