When it comes time for showings, throw 👏🏻 out 👏🏻 the 👏🏻 plug-ins! Potential buyers and the agents showing your home will likely perceive a strong air freshener smell as a way to mask something.
Sometimes I can smell a house before I’ve even unlocked the front door. First impressions matter!
If there is an odor, address the cause (ie: new carpet and paint is NOT that costly) as opposed to trying to cover it up.

Say a potential buyer is coming to tour your place in an hour. This tour will be nothing like the packed open houses of yesteryear—the lone buyer will likely mask up and walk around without touching anything—but it’s a showing nonetheless.
