Frederick is set to welcome back affiliated professional baseball in 2026 as the Baltimore Orioles’ High-A team relocates to Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium.

Attain Sports announced on August 1st that the Frederick Keys will once again serve as an Orioles affiliate, a role they last held in 2020. The move will shift the Aberdeen IronBirds to the MLB Draft League.

Ahead of the transition, Nymeo Field will undergo major renovations to meet MLB Professional Development League standards, including upgraded player facilities and enhanced fan amenities.

“We are thrilled that affiliated baseball is returning to Frederick,” said Orioles Executive Vice President and General Manager Mike Elias. “The Frederick community and fans have always been strong supporters of the Orioles, and we look forward to building on a 30-year partnership with the Keys.”
