Concerning your HVAC heatpump unit in this freeze. Good idea to put unit on Emergency heat at this time. Unless you have something over your unit to keep freezing precititation out of it and your fan from freezing and breaking. If you decide to put something over the top it should not be right down on top of it because unit has to push that air out.
