Last night was a reminder of just how quickly everything can change.
Our county and surrounding communities were hit hard by flooding. Roads washed away, homes and businesses took on water, vehicles were stranded and power was lost.
But in the middle of it all, people showed up.
To our firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, dispatchers, rescue crews, power and utility workers, road crews, tow truck drivers, cleanup crews, volunteers and neighbors… thank you.
Thank you for working through the night. For leaving your own families to help someone else’s. For running toward the problem when others needed help getting out.
There is still a lot of cleanup ahead, so check on your neighbors, support our local businesses and lend a hand where you can.
The damage is heartbreaking, but watching our communities show up for one another is something pretty special. We are grateful to live and work here ❤️
