This morning, the Spanish Navy training ship Juan Sebastián de Elcano arrived in Galveston 🇪🇸⚓

Launched in 1927, it’s the third largest tall ship in the world at 371 feet long and is currently on its 98th Midshipmen Training Cruise out of Cádiz, Spain. Galveston is one of its stops before it heads to New York for Sail 250!

The ship is open for free public tours at the Texas A&M pier on Pelican Island:

Art Week Galveston is back from Jan 19-25. It’s a week of art, food, music, and creativity around the Historic Downtown Cultural Arts District. Some events are free, some are ticketed, and they are all very Galveston!

We had a wonderful time celebrating on the Island my birthday. I also was celebrating the end of cancer surgery.I’ve never had the privilege to rent in Galveston before and I was very happy and excited.I’m a native Texan.The yellow walls are reminiscent of my home and favorite childhood memories. My friends were just as thrilled!Thank you so much.
