⛵️ **OLD MAPS + DRIFTWOOD + BEACH SHELLS = LOOK WHAT I MADE!** 😍🌊

Another DIY project is finished, and this one may be one of my favorites!

I took pieces of **driftwood, old maps and shells from the beach** and turned them into this little sailboat. ⛵️

I LOVE taking ordinary—or even discarded—things and figuring out how to turn them into something completely different.

And this one feels especially fitting with **White Magnolia Galveston**. 🌴🤍

The old maps became the sails, the driftwood gave it that weathered coastal look, and the shells brought a little bit of the beach home.

It's not specifically a White Magnolia project, but it's definitely another glimpse into the creative brain behind the business. 😂

Now I have to decide…

Today's tip costs almost NOTHING:

🏷️ **LABEL. YOUR. REMOTES.**

And don't just label them:

“TV”
“Fan”
“Light”

Take it ONE step further and add the **ROOM** too!

Why?

Because remotes MOVE. 😂

This post isn’t specifically about White Magnolia Galveston, but it is important for fellow business owners—and really, for everyone.

Someone recently tried to scam me over the phone. Thankfully, I recognized that something wasn’t right and didn’t follow their instructions, but the experience reminded me how convincing these scams can sound.

Whether you own a business or simply use a phone, email, or social media, please slow down and scrutinize unexpected requests. Never share passwords, verification codes, financial information, or personal details just because someone sounds professional or creates a sense of urgency.

Please also talk with the older people in your life about the different ways scammers may approach them. Remind them that it is always okay to hang up, call someone they trust, and verify the information independently.

Share this with someone you care about. One conversation could prevent someone from losing money or having their identity compromised.

A little late for Labor Day, but these were too good not to share! ⭐❤️🤍💙

For Labor Day, I made these star-shaped cream cheese sugar cookies using a recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction.

I absolutely LOVE her recipes and have used so many of them over the years. If you enjoy baking and haven’t explored her website yet, you need to!

I had so much fun cutting these into stars, and I thought I’d finally share the video—even if I am a couple of weeks late. 😂

Baking is also something that fits so naturally with White Magnolia Galveston. One of my favorite parts of hospitality is finding those little extras that can make someone feel welcome, and homemade baked goods have a way of doing exactly that. 🤍

I hope this video inspires you to get into the kitchen and create something delicious!
