🏡 Real Estate Market Update – Mortgage Rates & What It Means Right Now

Many people have been asking me about the current state of the real estate market, so here’s a quick update.

📊 Current Mortgage Rates (Approximate):
• 30-Year Fixed: around 6.1% – 6.3%
• 15-Year Fixed: around 5.4% – 5.6%
• FHA Loans: roughly 5.7% – 5.9%

While rates are still higher than the ultra-low levels we saw during the pandemic, they are much more stable than they were over the last couple of years, and many experts expect them to hover around the 6% range for now.

📉 What’s happening in the market?

1️⃣ Inventory is still tight
There are still more buyers than available homes in many areas, especially here on Long Island.

2️⃣ Serious buyers are still buying
Even with higher rates, people are still purchasing homes because life doesn’t wait — job relocations, growing families, downsizing, and investment opportunities continue.

3️⃣ Sellers still have leverage in many markets
Well-priced homes are still moving quickly because demand remains strong.

4️⃣ Investors are watching closely
