A surface boundary, located near Johnson City, Garden City, and Scott City at 11 am today, will move very little during the afternoon. This will be the area to monitor for thunderstorm development after 3pm as a weak upper level disturbance approaches from the west. As storms develop, they will strengthen and move east northeast, with a few of the strongest storms capable of producing large hail, strong damaging winds, and locally heavy rainfall.
