While the media said home prices would fall significantly in their coverage at the end of last year, that didn’t happen.

Sure, they had valid reasons to assume that they would with how quickly home prices rose... yet this is exactly WHY you need an expert who studies the market as CONTEXT matters.

Now, unfortunately, we are likely going to continue to see misleading media coverage in the months ahead.

This is largely because there’s seasonality to home price appreciation in the Fall and Winter seasons and they are going to misunderstand that.

Here’s what you need to know to get ahead of the next round of negative headlines.

As activity in the housing market slows at the end of this year (as it typically does each year), home price growth will slow too.

But, this doesn’t mean prices are falling – it’s just that they’re not increasing as quickly as they were when the market was in the peak homebuying season.

This business woman balances a lot of things - buyer transactions, seller transactions, answering daily questions about our market, and the list goes on.

One blessing about being able to serve your real estate needs and having some flexibility in that role is the fact that I can prioritize my family simultaneously. Our 10 year old daughter is homeschooled in the mornings and attends school in the afternoons, which is simply what she needs academically right now. She comes to work with Mom and is great at completing her work once she's given a lesson and instruction. When she was done with math today, she wanted to see if she could fix my space heater that quit working yesterday or, at very least, diagnose the problem. She took it all apart, identifying components and investigating how they worked together. She didn't get it fixed, but she learned a lot!
