Last night, we had the privilege of attending the HomeAid Hawaii10th Anniversary Gala at the beautiful Bishop Museum — and what an incredible evening it was. 🌺
For 10 years, HomeAid Hawaii has been doing the hard, meaningful work of helping people experiencing homelessness build new lives — through construction, community, and connection. That mission hits close to home for us, and we are proud to stand alongside an organization that turns compassion into action.

Here's to 10 years of impact and many more ahead. Mahalo to the entire HomeAid Hawaii team for a wonderful night.

This Saturday, we had the honor of attending the Maui Economic Opportunity, Inc. Annual Gala — and what a special night it was. 🌺

This one felt particularly meaningful. After 26 incredible years of service, MEO's CEO Debbie Cabebe celebrated her final Gala before retiring this July. Debbie, your dedication to the people of Maui has been truly inspiring. On behalf of the entire Highridge Costa team — mahalo, Maui is a better place because of your service and commitment, and we are grateful for your friendship.

And a warm welcome to Maggie Batangan, who steps in as CEO this August. We couldn't be more excited to continue our affordable housing partnership with you and the MEO Ohana for years to come.

Major milestone unlocked in Hawai‘i – revitalizing community, increasing affordable homes

We are proud to partner with the Hawaii Public Housing Authority, (HPHA), the City and County of Honolulu (CC), Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation and other stakeholders to deliver the first‐phase financing for Kuhio Park Low-Rise redevelopment in the heart of ­Kalihi. Located at 1449 Ahonui St., the masterplan will ultimately include up to 650 new affordable rental homes across three phases.

Phase one will consist of 302 new affordable rental units. The redevelopment will replace 60 aging homes with four modern mid-rise buildings sized that offer units ranging from studios to four-bedrooms. Amenities will include communal gathering spaces, garden and playground areas, a fitness loop and parking. The total development cost is $215 million, financed by tax-exempt bonds and a grant from C&C, tax credits and a RHRF (Rental Housing Revolving Fund ) loan from HHFDC.

These homes will serve households earning at or below 30%,40% and 60% of area median income. Existing families from the original buildings are guaranteed the right to return. The new community will provide 65 Project Based Voucher units for families earning below 30% & 40% AMI.

At Highridge Costa we believe that delivering quality affordable housing isn’t only about bricks and mortar—it’s about changing lives, reinforcing communities that have sustained generations and evolving them for the needs of tomorrow. We thank our partners and the Kalihi community for their trust and commitment.

Located at 1449 Ahonui St., the Kuhio Park Terrace redevelopment will be a multi-year, three-phase undertaking.
