🔥 COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT — SENIOR MEALS PROGRAM RELAUNCH 🔥
Daily meal distribution.
After witnessing firsthand the growing struggle many of our seniors are facing right here in our community, we are officially RELAUNCHING our Senior Meals Program to the general public beginning Monday, May 11, 2026.
As a Precinct Committeeman in the City of Gary and Vice President Of The Gary Redevelopment Commission, I have walked the neighborhoods, talked to families, and seen the painful reality many seniors are living through. Some of our elders are receiving less than $25 per month in food assistance. That is unacceptable.
For over 25 years, we have opened our doors to feed the community through real home-cooked meals made with love, dignity, and purpose. And now more than ever, the need is greater than ever before.
🍽️ THIS IS A PILOT PROGRAM
For Seniors Age 60 and Over
Beginning Monday, meals will operate on a:
👉 PAY WHAT YOU CAN SCALE
That means:
✔️ No senior will be turned away
✔️ Everyone deserves a hot meal
✔️ Dignity comes before dollars
But let’s be honest with each other—
If the community does not support its own resource after this pilot program, we will be forced to discontinue it. Programs like this survive when people believe in them, support them, and protect them.

Delivery can be arranged for $5.00

These are the meals many of us were raised on—
real food that nourishes the body and comforts the soul.
Children and family members:
If you are worried about your parents’ diets, their nutrition, or whether they are eating properly, this program may be exactly what your family needs.
This is not fast food.
This is not processed survival food.
This is community care through a hot meal.
