Trae Tha Truth brings Community Relief to the City of Gary!

We are proud to team up with Trae Tha Truth & Relief Gang and Tree of Life Missionary Baptist Church to bring an entire 18-wheeler full of supplies to our community.

Join us THIS SATURDAY for a massive relief and supply distribution event, hosted by Pastor Eric Boone.

WHERE: Tree of Life Missionary Baptist Center, 2530 W 11th Ave, Gary, IN
WHEN: This Saturday at 10:00 AM

Supplies Include:

Cleaning Essentials: All-purpose cleaner, bug killer, disinfectant spray, hand soap, laundry detergent, magic erasers, and paper towels.

Personal Care: N95 face masks, mouthwash, sanitary napkins, shampoo, and toilet paper.

Household Items: Blankets, Pampers, new toys, baseball caps, and Downy sample packs.

All are welcome! This event is first come, first served—while supplies last.

🚨IMPORTANT UPDATE: DAILY MEAL SERVICE LOCATION CHANGE🚨

Starting Thursday, August 20th, the daily meal services provided by the City of Gary will transition from the YWCA to the City Life Center.

New Meal Service Location:
City Life Center
225 W. 5th Ave.
Gary, IN 46402

*(Please note: Meals will no longer be served at the YWCA located at 150 W. 15th Ave.)*

Daily Meal Schedule at City Life Center:
🍳 Breakfast: ~9:00 AM
🥪 Lunch: ~12:00 PM
🍲 Dinner: ~5:00 PM

DHS' August Disaster Resource Hub is now available. The hub serves as a comprehensive resource center for individuals seeking state and federal assistance and updates related to the severe weather events that began on Aug. 11.

The hub also includes the application for the State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF), specifically for Aug. 11 events. Impacted Hoosiers may qualify for emergency aid grants of up to $5,000. This fund is designed to help families secure essential items like clothing and uninsured medical devices while they are displaced from their homes.
