🍂 Now that autumn has arrived, let’s take a second and recover from what those summer temperatures did to us.

And I don’t mean the “Well, it’s summer. It’s supposed to be hot.” excuse.

Because that’s definitely not what I heard when the phones were ringing:

“My house is HOT.”

“Why is my A/C running continuously?”

“My A/C never shuts off!”

And one of my favorites…

“We keep our thermostat at 65–68°, but the house won’t get below 74°.” 😳

Well, I’m here to tell you—it’s not over. Summer will be back about the same time next year. 😂

So instead of forgetting all about it because it’s finally 70° outside, now is the time to figure out WHY your home struggled.

Maybe it’s the equipment. Maybe it’s airflow. Ductwork. Insulation. Sizing. Maintenance. Or maybe there are simply better options available for your home that you didn’t know about.

Because I’ve said it a hundred times:

Are you comfortable while paying high utility bills… or are you UNCOMFORTABLE while paying high utility bills?

There’s a big difference.

Have us inspect, service and evaluate your home and HVAC system. Let’s figure out where the problems are, talk through the options, and make some changes before Kansas blesses us with another round of its bipolar weather. 😂

Trust me when I say this: a couple hundred bucks for service usually isn’t what hurts.

It’s getting caught completely off guard by a major repair or replacement that can be tough on a household.

That’s why we preach service and inspections. It’s not just so we can come out, clean something up, and hand you a bill. It’s about safety, efficiency, and knowing what shape your equipment is actually in before it decides to quit.

I’d much rather tell you, “Hey, this system is starting to show its age—let’s keep an eye on it and start planning,” than show up in the middle of extreme weather and have to tell you there aren’t many options left.

Being prepared is a whole lot better than being blindsided.

As you can see, Dominic is showing either passion or affection… I’m not sure which. 🤣

But this probably explains all the wonderful comments I get from clients about him. 😂

Trust me, it’s a lot easier to chuckle when it’s the homeowner who calls and says, “I f—ked up.”

This has happened to me, my guys, and pretty much anyone who has spent any amount of time in this trade.

Disassembling the outdoor unit is definitely the best way to properly service it. The problem is, they don’t always go back together as easily as they come apart. I have a handful of units that absolutely suck to tear apart and service, and it doesn’t help when it feels like it’s 200 degrees outside.

This is the perfect example of:

“I should’ve just called a professional.” and “Factory screws are short for a reason”😂

Kansas weather has a habit of making weekends interesting. ⛈️
So...
If the power flickers while your A/C is running, turn the system off at the thermostat and wait about five minutes before restarting it.

That short pause gives the compressor time to reset instead of immediately trying to start again.

It’s a small step—but a good one to remember during the next round of storms.

Save this post now so you’re not trying to remember it while the lights are blinking.
