Friday and Saturday’s work. Back porch soffit completed and beam wrapped across the back. Now we just need the ceiling and ends up. “Two are better than one… If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” – Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Well it’s been a couple of days so here’s what’s been going on. They finished framing in the chimney area, got the OSB on the end wall of the upstairs playroom, added some bracing to the vaulted rafters, framed in the walls between the tubs and showers, cleared off the back porch, added blocks for lights on back porch, ran electrical wire on back porch and added blocking for soffit. Cleaned off front porch for future soffit/ceiling work there. Not a lot visually but a lot of little things that have to be done.

Haven’t posted in a few days. Shout out to James Anderson (Weldon) and Nolan Sanders and their guys for their help last week. Sure appreciate it and thankful my “crew” didn’t have to work 20’ up to get this done. Here’s the update; got the “tar paper” over the decking, both ends enclosed and wrapped, siding above porch roof and on roof ends, metal porch posts installed and today working on the fireplace end wall of vaulted ceiling. Oh we also picked out our rock/brick. Now we’ve got to pick paint and shingles.

We have a roof! Well technically we have decking, but the house has a top on it. 😆. They finished the top soffits on the front today. Also finished one end wall and got the house wrap on it. And they came and put the decking down. I love a good visual progress day!

Well they got the rest of the rafters up 😊before they got rained out. ☹️

They got about half the rafters up today! We may get a roof on this thing yet. 😆
