LET’S GO!! I am so excited to start a new adventure with Chance Taylor at Dixon Realty Team brokered by Texas Star Real Estate!! Chance is a Marketing Major specializing with technology and advertising skills to expedite those selling homes. Chance is also doing property management. I enjoy decorating and getting houses prepared for sale. Meeting new people is always a joy. I know we will make an awesome team!
Beginning: My Dad, Jackie Dixon was a builder for new homes and remodels from the day I was born. If you know Jackie Dixon, he is always working and on-the-go. My mother, Jeanette Dixon, says I am a lot like him. Growing up with a contractor had some great perks. I got to see a lot of houses from the dirt work to finishes. I enjoyed helping my mom pick out paint, counter tops, carpet, tile, etc. I unfortunately remember the framing and sheet rocking stage of the house more than I would have liked. Throwing boards and Sheetrock in the dumpster was not exciting! Way too many to count. I have two brothers, Jaydie Dixon & Jeb Dixon. Jaydie is the owner of two businesses, Dixon Roofing & Dixon Homes. Jeb Dixon changed professions from building houses to head football coach at Gorman.
Gatesville High School: Throughout High School I enjoyed cheering, basketball, volleyball, and track. I was Vice President of my class my Freshman and Junior year, active in Student Council, Yearbook Staff, Ms. GHS, & Football Sweetheart. While still in high school I started my first business, Expectations Gymnastics, Cheer & Dance which I still own and operate today. One of my most vivid memory was after I asked my Dad how to get a new mat for my gym. He drove me to the bank!! When he told the loan officer I needed to borrow money, I nearly panicked. Luckily I got an early entrepreneur lesson with lending, payments and interest.
College at Tarleton State University: What a blast!! So many new faces and I wanted to meet them all. I continued pursuing activities in cheerleader, active in Student Government such as Physical Education Senator, Class Senator, Special Events Committee, Freshman Representative Council, Director of Tarleton Christmas, Intramural Board President, etc. As a member of Alpha Gamma Delta, I held office as Activity Director & Scholarship Chair. Tarleton was good to me and honored me with Homecoming Queen, Most Active Member in Alpha Gama Delta, Queen of the Rose Court, Outstanding member of Special Events, and Class Favorite Nominee
Chance Taylor, my son: Wow! Motherhood! Chance was my rock! As a single parent Chance & I enjoyed many adventures. Growing up, Chance was active in all sports…basketball, soccer, football, baseball, track, and cross country beginning at 3 years old thru high school. I was either his coach or his biggest fan cheering him on every step. Chance was President of his class, Student Government, National Honor Society, etc. Chance continued the sport he loved the most playing basketball for Howard Payne University. After graduation from HPU, he married Tori Proffitt. Chance started his career in banking and ventured into real estate. Oh, Oh, one story of when this sweet son of mine saved me. I trapped a big lizard in a jar. Chance comes to save me and as I walk away in my halter top, thinking he is so good…. this lizard flies in the air and lands right on my back!! Did I say halter top!! It stuck on my back! We have so many fun memories, but most of all we have always been there for each other. Chance has grown up to be an outstanding young man and is still my rock!
Stuart Carpenter, Husband: I married Stuart in 2005. Funny how the world goes around. I met Stuart while visiting in my grandmother’s 3rd grade class in Jonesboro. We have been friends ever since. Stuart has two beautiful daughters Madison and Marleigh.
GRANDDAUGHTERS!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE being a MIMI! Kinsley (2yr) steals the room with her smile, while Khloe (4yrs) has the biggest personality! I am so thankful for these two gifts and will always cherish these two beautiful girls.
Job Experience:
Expectations, Gymnastics & Dance: Instructor/Owner/Housekeeper/Book Keeper/Counselor/Friend are some of my titles. Leading numerous amazing kids to championship wins and titles, some of which awarded my teams the coveted half times at Dallas Cowboy Stadium, Harlem Globe Trotters, Dallas Mavericks, Cotton Bowl, etc. I am now on my second generation of gymnastic/dance students! I am not sure how that is possible, since I am only 21?
Physical Education Teacher for Gatesville ISD for 23 years and selected Teacher of the Year by my peers. I am honored to have been entrusted with impacting so many lives, over 200 students per a year. Although I am no longer teaching, I enjoyed getting to know each of them.
My personality: I am a hard worker, honest, welcome new challenges, strive for perfection, self-motivated, always on-the-go, and above all... enjoy working and meeting new people. Because of all my lifelong activities I have developed a wide range of networking contacts. I hope you will give me the opportunity to be your agent! If you read all of this, YOU ROCK! Oh, and I am not really 21 although most say I have the energy to be 21.
