Today, September 12, is a great day to be in Gatlinburg. GatlinBURGER Week is underway, the Gatlinburg Harvest Festival is bringing fall atmosphere downtown, and today’s calendar also includes the Gatlinburg Farmers Market and September Saturdays Rafting.

And there’s even more fall fun right around the corner—Dollywood’s Harvest Festival & Great Pumpkin LumiNights begins Monday, September 14! Thousands of glowing pumpkins, fall décor, seasonal treats and entertainment make it one of our favorite times of year in Pigeon Forge. 🎃

Make a whole getaway out of it! Spend the day enjoying everything Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge have to offer, then come back to your own cabin for a swim, a hot-tub soak and a relaxing evening together.

In Loving Memory of Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton has always held a special place in our family’s heart. I grew up listening to her music and visiting Dollywood, and years later I took my own children there to make those same special memories.

Today, our family is blessed to own Tennessee Mountain Vacations, a small family business with four cabins here in the Smoky Mountains that Dolly loved and proudly called home.

Her music, kindness, generosity and love for East Tennessee have left a legacy that will live on for generations. ❤️

In her memory, for every new direct booking made through September 13th, Tennessee Mountain Vacations will donate $25 to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Come visit the Smokies. Take your children or grandchildren to Dollywood. Make memories together in the mountains she loved so much.

With heavy hearts, the Dollywood family mourns the passing of our beloved Dreamer-in-Chief, Dolly Parton. Everyone at Dollywood shares the sorrow of countless people around the world touched by Dolly’s warmth, wisdom and generous spirit.

Dolly’s heartfelt wish was that Dollywood always remain a place of joy, hope and togetherness—a space where families and friends could honor her memory, not with silence, but with laughter, music and shared dreams.

“The greatest privilege of my life has been helping Dolly bring her dreams to life at Dollywood,” said Eugene Naughton, Dollywood Parks & Resorts President. “Dolly’s heart was as vast as the mountains she cherished, and her compassion knew no bounds. She inspired generations to dream boldly and love deeply. While we grieve her loss, we are honored and committed to carry her light forward. Her legacy will continue to shine in every melody sung, every smile shared and every dream kindled within these gates.”

Dolly’s enduring legacy extends beyond her music and generosity to her remarkable work ethic—an inspiration to people everywhere. In her spirit, Dollywood will be open Wednesday as Dolly wanted, always reminding everyone with her signature sparkle -- “the show must go on.” Together, we honor her by carrying forward her message of love, perseverance, and hope.
