Mike is a proud graduate of Pascagoula High School (Class of '71), Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College ('73), and the University of Mississippi ('89).

A talented athlete, Mike played baseball and basketball during his high school and college years. At MGCCC, he not only excelled in sports but also served as the co-captain of the basketball team and earned a spot in the Mississippi Gulf Coast Athletic Hall of Fame in 2021.

Mike's professional journey is marked by 22 years at the Miss Press, where he held various editorial positions, from assistant sports editor to city editor. For the past 26 years, he has been a dedicated realtor.

In matters of the heart, Mike has been happily married to Darlene Wixon for an impressive 50 years. Together, they have two daughters, Ginger Seaton and Jill Becker. The family is further enriched by three wonderful grandchildren: Audrey Becker, Eli Seaton, and Wesley Seaton.

Currently residing in Pascagoula, Mike is an active member of Arlington Baptist Church, where he serves as a deacon.
