I proudly serve on the board for Elizabeth’s Village, an emergency domestic violence shelter and transitional home!
Housing is a huge reason why people don’t leave their abusers and we help them by providing a safe place to stay, rebuild and regain their independence!
Please consider donating. When you do, you’re providing shelter and resources to women and children!
If you’d like to get involved by volunteering, give us a call
Almost a year ago, a porch light came on in Georgetown!
It wasn't just a light... It became a signal that someone was safe!
Before The Haley House opened , women and children fleeing domestic violence often had to leave our community to find shelter...or worse, stay in dangerous situations because there was nowhere else to go!
Since opening our doors in September 2025, we've welcomed 24 women and 26 children into safety and provided 6,802 safe nights between The Haley House and our Transitional Home.
Those aren't just numbers!
They're birthdays celebrated without fear.
Homework done around a kitchen table
First nights of uninterrupted sleep
Fresh starts

Today, we're launching our Keep the Porch Light On Campaign to celebrate one incredible year and to make sure that porch light never goes dark.
Whether you choose to cover a day's electricity, a month of transportation, a family's financial assistance, or simply give what you can, every gift helps keep this home open for the next woman who needs it.
