JUST SOLD | LAKE AUSTIN ❤️

Some homes are harder to say goodbye to than others. Not because of the house itself, but because of the people and memories that make it special.

Years ago, I had the privilege of helping a wonderful family make Austin their home. Over time, I've helped each of them begin new chapters elsewhere. And now, with the sale of this extraordinary Lake Austin property, I've helped the last member of the family make that same journey.

This one is bittersweet.

I represented this seller when she purchased the home, and I've watched her pour her heart into making it something truly remarkable. When we went under contract on her birthday, I had the joy of surprising her with the news. There were tears, smiles, and the realization that a beautiful chapter was coming to an end.

Today, that chapter officially closes.

I'm grateful this special home has found its next owner, and even more grateful that someone I've known and cared about for so many years can now reunite with the family she loves.

I helped this family make Austin their home. And one by one, I've helped them find their way to a new one.

I'll miss having them here more than they know. But there is something incredibly rewarding about helping people get where their hearts belong.

After all, real estate has never really been about the houses. It's about the people who call them home. ❤️

Some homes are harder to sell than others.

Not because of the negotiations, the price, or the work it takes to get them under contract—but because of the people you know will be leaving when the sign comes down.

I’ve known this wonderful family for many years. I had the privilege of helping them make Austin home, and over time, I’ve also helped members of the family begin new chapters elsewhere. One by one, they moved away, and I suppose we all knew there would eventually come a day when this last move would need to happen too.

That doesn’t make it any easier.

I represented this seller when she purchased this beautiful Lake Austin home, and I’ve watched her pour so much of herself into making it truly extraordinary. There are homes you own, and then there are homes that become part of your story. This one is most certainly the latter.

So when we finally put it under contract—on her birthday, of all days—I couldn’t just send a text or make a phone call.

We turned it into a birthday surprise, complete with cookies and a card revealing the news. There were tears. There were smiles. And there was that wonderful mixture of sadness and relief that comes when you realize one chapter really is ending and another is about to begin.

What makes it even more special is knowing this home will pass to a neighbor who already knows and loves this street. It feels less like saying goodbye to a house and more like entrusting it to the next chapter of its story.

I’m incredibly happy for my client because this sale means something much bigger than a closing. It means she gets to reunite with the family she loves and begin building a life near them again.

But this one is bittersweet for me.

Real estate has given me the privilege of being invited into some very important moments in people’s lives. I helped this family come to Austin. I’ve helped them leave Austin. And now, with this final move, I’m realizing just how much I’m going to miss having all of them here.

I’m sad to see an entire family I’ve grown so fond of leave Central Texas.

But I’m awfully happy knowing they’ve found another place where they can all call home together.
