Honored to be here at Sista Strut 2026 for the very first time, standing among survivors and their families.
Today, I walk in honor of my mother, Delores J. Sims🕊️a strong woman who beat breast cancer once, but was called home after her second battle. Because of her love, guidance, and the way she poured into others, I stand today knowing my purpose: to help people and to share my faith in God and His powerful, unchanging love.
My mother served a God who has all power, and she made sure I knew that for myself. Even though she passed two years ago this month, it hasn’t been easy facing the memories of what she went through. But being here today reminds me that we can cherish those we’ve lost while also supporting those still fighting.
To every survivor🌸you are here for a reason. Your story is not finished yet.
My mother always reminded me of Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” And I hold onto another truth she taught me: with God, all things are possible.
May God continue to strengthen each and every one of you. Stay blessed.
