It’s an incredible story, and every year (especially today, on her birthday 🎂) I am overwhelmed with gratitude for our sweet girl.

But there’s one part he tends to gloss over…

The part where he literally saved her life.

When things started moving fast, Ronnie called my sister to help guide him through the delivery. The very first thing she asked was:
“Can you reach down and see if the cord is wrapped around her neck?”

He said, “I think so.”

Meanwhile I’m in the background yelling, “Just pull her out!” 😅

Calm as ever, my sister walked him through gently lifting the cord over her head “like a t-shirt.”

And just like that… she came out.
Moments before the EMTs arrived 🙃

So yes — I am endlessly grateful for my Mila. She is pure gift. 💕

But I will never forget that her daddy and her auntie were the real MVPs that day. He didn’t just deliver her… he protected her. And because of that, we got to celebrate another birthday today. 🎉✨
